Free printable range target
Make a short-range zero target.
Only have 25 yards to work with? Calculate where your group should land for a longer zero, then print a target with separate aiming and impact marks.

A 25-yard target for a 200-yard initial zero
The bullet's short-range position depends on sight height, muzzle velocity, drag, and the zero you want. There is no single offset that works for every rifle. Enter your setup and the available range, from 5 to 100 yards, then choose a farther zero distance.
The calculator finds the short-range impact position relative to your sight line. The printable target places an aiming mark and a separate impact mark at that exact calculated vertical spacing. Keep aiming at the aiming mark while adjusting the center of your group toward the impact mark.
Measure sight height carefully
Sight height is the distance from the center of the bore to the center of the optic. Use your exact bullet's published BC and matching G1 or G7 drag model, plus measured velocity from your rifle. Altitude, temperature, and humidity are optional settings.
For help checking these inputs, read the ballistics input guide. This tool assumes level fire and no wind. It does not calculate a windage correction.
Print without scaling
The PDF is a US Letter target, 8.5 by 11 inches. Print at 100% or Actual Size. Turn off Fit to Page and measure the one-inch scale check before shooting. A scaled target changes the offset and defeats the calculation.
If the calculated marks do not fit the printable target, the tool reports that instead of shrinking the target or clipping a mark.
An initial zero, not proof of a longer zero
Use the center of a group, not a single shot. Small aiming, group-center, sight-height, and print-scale errors at a short range grow downrange. Getting the modeled short-range impact does not prove your rifle is zeroed at 200 yards or any other intended distance.
Confirm the zero at the intended distance before relying on it. Check your actual trajectory and come-ups with live fire. This target does not establish an ethical hunting range.
